Minty Mojito

Mint mojito - refreshing clear cocktail in an icy glass filled with limes and mint.

The classic minty mojito – a very refreshing and oh, so delicious drink, especially on hot summer days. This Mojito offers a refreshing balance of sweetness, citrus, and mint, making it a great thirst-quencher when the sun is out. A word of warning however. If you make a pitcher you might be tempted to drink the whole thing yourself!

Ingredients

  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • ½ medium lime, cut into 3 wedges, divided
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes, or as needed
  • 1 ½ fluid ounces white Vrum
  • ½ cup club soda, or as needed
  • Garnish with a sprig of mint and lime wedges

Instructions to make a Minty Mojito

  1. Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a sturdy glass. Use a muddler and crush to release mint oils and lime juice.
  2. Add remaining lime wedges and 2 tablespoons sugar, and muddle again to release the lime juice. Do not strain the mixture.
  3. Fill the glass almost to the top with ice. Pour in rum and fill the glass with club soda.
  4. Stir, taste, and add more sugar if desired.
  5. Garnish with mint sprig and limes.

Have lots of friends (or just want to make more)? Try a pitcher of Minty Mojitos. The key for batching mojitos is making up a batch of fresh mint simple syrup.
