Revved up with Botanical EnGIN the French 77 is perfectly balanced and so delicious.
If you’re looking to add a touch of effortless sophistication mixed with mischievous fun to your next gathering, look no further than the French 77.
While its cousin, the French 75, leans on the sharp botanical notes of gin and simple syrup, the French 77 instead works with the delicate, floral notes of St Germain, an elderflower liqueur. Add in the zip from fresh lemon juice, and – pop! – those lively bubbles roll in to keep things bright and celebratory.
It’s citrusy, it’s light, it hints at floral, and it absolutely refuses to be boring. Best of all, the French 77 is incredibly easy to build, making it a perfect candidate for everything from a slow Sunday brunch, to backyard BBQ, to an upscale evening toast.

Key Tips for a French 77

To make this for a crowd, combine 12 oz EnGIN, 12 oz St Germaine, and 6 oz lemon juice in a pitcher. To serve, shake 2.5 oz of this mix with ice, pour into a glass and top with 2 – 4 oz champagne, as desired.
The best sparklers for this cocktail
The best sparkling wine for a French 77 is a dry (Brut) Champagne, Prosecco, or Cava, which balances the sweetness of the elderflower liqueur. A crisp, affordable Prosecco is often preferred for its light, fruity notes, while Champagne provides a more traditional, luxurious, and complex cocktail profile.
